I composed these original stories and characters which center on Izaya Orihara from Durarara!!
The story is set in modern Tokyo, Japan.
Since I am not planning to compose them as mangas or novels, I will just show them by brief summaries.
The setting of this original story is kinda huge. However, the contents I usually create and post online are not related to this story since I tend to create some down-to-earth and fun contents.

Arashi Kamikawa
27 y/o | 185cm |70kg | CV: Koji Yusa
Arashi has brown hair and red eyes. He is tall, wealthy, and good-looking.
The heir of Kamikawa Corporation, Arashi is straightforward and good-natured. He is kind, caring, and has a strong sense of justice. He is popular among the ladies, but he loves his job the most.
After the death of his father, Arashi succeeded to the position of CEO. Arashi and young Akiya knew each other through the employee of Kamikawa Corporation, and Arashi is happy about being the father of Akiya. After Arashi take over the position of CEO, he found out that the corporation is doing human experiments secretly and the leader is someone else. Arashi rescued Tei, the experimental subject, and lead his adherents to fight against the experiment team. He knew Deian through Akiya, and later Deian supported Arashi during the struggle. They developed a close, romantic relationship between each other.
At last, Kamikawa Corporation split into two factions. Arashi failed the power struggle and was framed by the enemy. The whereabouts of Arashi are still unknown.
Deian

A mysterious youth. Deian has white hair and blue eyes, and he always has brimless cap, scarf, and gloves on. He seems like in his early twenties.
Deian hides his autonym, nationality, and identity. He is quite handy since he seems like did a lot of different jobs before.
He is a sloppy, witty, and crafty loner, but he also has loyal qualities.
Akiya met Deian in the orphanage, and Deian is also Akiya’s learning model. Deian knew Arashi through Akiya, and Akiya regard Deian as his “mother.” Deian and Arashi became couple later. After Arashi’s failure of fighting against the enemy, Arishi was missing. Deian suppressed the event and make the corporation keep working by the name of Arashi.
After Akiya graduated from high school, Deian left and back to his wandering life. He never tell Akiya where he stays, but he still keep in touch with Akiya through internet. At the same time, Deian is still protecting Tei.
Deian will randomly assign some miscellaneous work to Akiya to make Akiya has something to do.
Akiya Kamikawa
19 y/o | 169cm | 49kg CV: Yuichi Nakamura
Akiya has blue hair and blue eyes. His hair is always messy, and he always has his earphone with him. Akiya looks like biracial, and he is from the orphanage. He is often mistaken for a cosplayer since his special hair and eye color. He has gorgeous appearance but he acts ridiculously funny. People will have good first impression of Akiya, but it will soon collapse.
He is talkative, vibrant, and audacious, which makes him unpredictable. He seems like is always calculating, but in fact, he is kinda silly and only a trouble maker.
He never considers the consequences, but he can always gets what he wants luckily. Akiya called himself “Mouse” when he was a child. He is very popular among the kids, and he likes to hit on people.
Akiya met Arashi and regarded Arashi as his father, so Akiya got the name of Kamikawa. After Arashi brought Tei home, Akiya pampers Tei very much, and they have a interesting relasionship.
During the conflict of Kamikawa Corporation, in order to help Arashi, Akiya introuduced Deian to Arashi. Since Arashi is popular amoung the ladies, Akiya prejudices females, so Akiya regard Deian as his mother.
Akiya started his school from middle school, and he knew Izaya, a senior from the same school, from Deian. After that, he started to wandering around Izaya and kept harassing (showing his love to) him.
After Akiya graduate from high school, he entrust Tei to Izaya.
Akiya met his childhood friend after Akiya started his independent life. Akiya provides a room, includes food and wifi, to this childhood friend.
Akiya skipped a lot of classes in college, so he got dropped out heaps of time. He kept changing his major, so he has a lot of different basic knowledge.
He sometimes takes the job from Deian. From running errands to cleaning houses, the job from Deian is very variable. When Akiya gets time, he will visit Izaya’s place (and harass) him.
Akiya knows the truth about Tei and Deian later than Izaya.
Akiya and Izaya
After Akiya knew Izaya from Deian, Akiya was highly interested in Izaya. When Akiya is with other people, Akiya is just extra-energetic, but when Akiya is with Izaya, Akiya will act like a pervert. Though Akiya always gets what he wants, Akiya can never get Izaya’s heart. This is also why Akiya is so persist in Izaya. The colder Izaya acts to Akiya, the more Akiya likes Izaya.
Akiya loves the whole Izaya, which includes how Izaya hates Akiya. Making trouble is the way how Akiya show his love to Izaya, includes sexual harassment and making Izaya take care of Tei. If Izaya falls in love with Akiya, perhaps Akiya will cool down and leave, but Akiya knows that is impossible. Akiya is satisfied with loving Izaya and making trouble to Izaya.
Akiya and Tei
After Tei joined the Kamikawa family, Akiya acted like a kid getting a new pet. Akiya was very curious about the new family member. Akiya takes good care of Tei, but Akiya did not educate Tei in a proper way. Akiya spoiled Tei. Akiya does not care the consequences of the way he educated Tei, so Tei has a lot of wrong behavior and concept of life. The first reason Akiya gave Tei to Izaya is because Akiya thought Tei can be a trouble in Izaya’s life. The second reason is Akiya wanted to make the two man he loves together. In sum, it is only Akiya’s weird interest.
Izaya Orihara

Izaya met his junior, Akiya, in high school. Izaya was annoyed by Akiya’s “Chunibyo” atmosphere and Akiya’s harassment in name of love.
Izaya get rid of Akiya for a short period after graduate from high school, but Akiya appeared again with another troublesome guy (Tei).
Izaya was conscious about the experiment of Kamikawa Corporation. After Tei broke into Izaya’s life, and Izaya heard about the rumor of Kamikawa Corporation, Izaya realized that Tei, Akiya, and Kamikawa Corporation might be related.
Izaya started to collect the information about Kamikawa Corporation. However, things did not run well. Izaya could feel that someone is controlling the corporation behind, and he or she keeps leaking the information little by little to him.
Izaya kept researching about Kamikawa Corporation, and he finally found out Tei’s identity, so he kept Tei around him to observe more information.
During the life with Tei, Izaya was always correcting Tei’s wrong behavior and concepts (taught by Akiya). Out of Izaya’s expect, Tei became more and more important to Izaya. Though Izaya was still a little bit unhappy, he eventually gave up dumping Tei. Tei finally became Izaya’s soul ♂ mate.
Initially, Izaya had rings on both of his index fingers. Later, Izaya gave one of the ring to Tei and started wearing the ring on his ring finger.
Izaya and Akiya
Akiya always come and go like a shadow. Even Izaya is hard to predict Akiya's next step.
It is not because of Akiya is smart enough to compete with Izaya, but it's because Akiya is too dump that Izaya cannot understand him.
Compare with Akiya's weirdness, Izaya's twisted personality is like nothing.
However, Izaya still trys to treat Akiya as a normal human.
Since Izaya is forced (by Akiya) to meet Akiya alot, Izaya kind of knows what Akiya is thinking (but not a lot).
Akiya's identity and what behind him is always a secret protected by "someone," so Izaya cannot find anything more about Akiya.
Izaya knows that the only way to get rid of Akiya is to love Akiya, but that is impossible for Izaya, so...nah.
Though Izaya beat (physically) Akiya sometimes, Akiya still cannot learn lessons from it, and he still keep harassing Izaya. For now, Izaya keeps giving silent treatment to Akiya.
Izaya and Tei
At first, Izaya tend to be suspicious of Tei because Akiya sent Tei to Izaya, but after Izaya’s observation, he found out that Tei was only a victim whose life was ruined by Akiya.
If Izaya is a kid, then Tei is the doll who accompanies the kid. Tei can soothe people easily.
Izaya could not see Tei as a normal human because Tei was very unusual.
For Izaya, Tei is not an “interesting human,” Tei is even boring.
However, Tei could always do something out of Izaya’s expection.
Izaya Orihara has been loved, but he sometimes would destryed it on purpose.
Tei is different. Tei’s love is pure; love is almost a part of Tei.
Izaya could not stop this love, and he becomes used to this relationship easily.
Izaya clearly knows that the reason Tei loves him is only because Akiya likes it.
Izaya becomes fixate on Tei, he wants to know more about Tei.
“Under the biue cover, what actually color is it?”
Izaya wants more. He wants to be more important than Akiya in Tei’s heart. He wants to know who Tei really is. He get closer to Tei in order to get all the answers.
However, after he is satisfied, he find out that he is addict already.
With the “coincidences” created by “someone,” Izaya can not leave Tei.
The man who loves all human equally; because of Tei, his balance is collapsed.
Though Izaya still claims that he loves all human, his behavior already betray him.
Tei Azuma
17 y/o | 155cm | 39kg | CV: Miyuki Sawashiro
Tei has black hair and red eyes. His hair is about collarbone-length with bangs covered half of his neutral face. His facial feature is as delicate as a marionette’s. He is quiet, poker-faced, and adorkable, just like a little cute creature. Tei Azuma makes Akiya think of young Tei Aogaki, so Akiya names him “Tei,” which sounds same to Tei Aogaki. (Though Tei Azuma and Tei Aogaki’s names sound the same, they are actually different word in Kanji. Tei Azuma’s is 帝, and Tei Aogaki’s is 廷.) Tei is the product of Kamikawa Corporation’s experiment. As a experimental product, Tei is unusual. His rate of growth is slower than others, which makes him looks like a kid.
Also, when he meet something terrible, he will try to tolerate it, but not to escape or ask for help.
Tei lives in the lab most of his life, so he does not know much about the world, and he is lack of common sense. Also, he did not get educate properly, so he only has basic community skill and poor literacy ability. Tei is a slow-witted, silly little guy. He often can not realize other people’s meaning, and he has no sense of shame. He can trust a stranger in maybe five minutes and have close physical contact with he or she.
He barely has emotion; he does not know right from wrong. When Tei encounter pain, he will subconsciously be strong. Tei will not talk if he can communicate with body expression, like nodding, eye contacts, or lip language. He has soft, light voice, but he cannot speak complete sentences; he can only say some simple words. Tei likes to learn and imitate, but Akiya made Tei learn a lot of weird stuff, so Izaya has to pick up the slack to re-educate Tei. Tei starts to like rabbits (Izaya says Tei looks like a bunny) and cherry flavor lollipop because of Izaya.
Rescued by Arashi; taken care by Akiya; entrusted to Izaya, Tei’s experience are all so inexplicable, and he is going to become a unusual, but usual person with Izaya.
He wears a ring from Izaya on his ring finger.
Tei and Akiya
When Tei first got out of the laboratory, he was like a marionette without a soul. Akiya lead Tei to learn,but mostly misinform, a lot of new things, and Tei, the marionette, finally got his soul. Tei learned about love, but he cannot distinquish kinship, friendship, and romatic love.
Before Tei was left to Akiya, Tei heard a lot about Izaya from Akiya. Tei was not sad about leaving Akiya because Tei believed in Akiya. Though Tei is now living with Izaya, he still looks forward Akiya’s visit.
Tei and Izaya
At first, Izaya’s malice against Tei confused Tei because Tei grows in an environment full of love. Though Izaya tried to dump Tei, and Izaya did a lot of terrible things to Tei, Tei still choose to believe Akiya and Izaya, the man loved by Akiya.
Akiya once said, “Izaya is a lonely person, and Tei, you are going to accompany him.” Akiya once gave Tei love, a lot of love, so Tei started to learn how to love. Tei loves Akiya, so he loves Izaya. However, Tei goes overboard to love Izaya, and he uses his own way to love Izaya. As time goes by, Tei eventually loves Izaya more than loves Akiya.
Tei Aogaki
20 y/o | 160 cm | 45 kg | CV: Junko Minagawa
Tei Aogaki has black hair and yellow eyes. Aogaki is good-looking, but he experienced a lot of devastation, so he now has dull, absent light in his eyes, and he has serious dark circle under his eyes; he looks like a drug addict. Tei Aogaki is very straightforward, bad-tempered, grumpy, misanthorpic, and has a foul mouth.
He entered the orphanage earlier than Akiya. Since Akiya entered the orphanage, Aogaki lost all his friends; all his friends became Akiya’s friends, so Aogaki envied Akiya. However, Akiya lead Aogaki to meet with other people and kids. This made Aogaki feel better for a short period.
After Akiya left the orphanage, Aogaki felt that Akiya dump him, so Aogaki’s feelings toward Akiya bacame hatred.
Aogaki left the orphanage right after he came of age. He became a gangster and lived on stealing. He ran into Akiya during a stealing act, and Akiya brought Aogaki home. Aogaki thinks Akiya was a jerk who can be taken advantage of, and Aogaki doesn’t want to forgive Akiya. Aogaki keeps these thoughts as secrets. So he choose to stay at Akiya’s place and freeload off Akiya. Aogaki become video games addicted and keep wasting the the resources Akiya gave him. Though Aogaki is really mean to Akiya, Akiya doesn’t care; Aogaki even beat Akiya sometimes.
Aogaki chooses to live in the moment because he was once a homeless; he does not care anything.
He does not know where himself from and all the people above, except Akiya. He only heard Akiya talked about them.
Plot Twisting Setting
Mr. and Mrs. Darkline, a scientist couple from the future, were a fun and geek family. They loved humans and were obsessed with human-related science studies. They were totally wildcards and sometimes were cruel. In order to implement the Human Reconstruction Project (HRP), Mr. and Mrs. Darkline traveled through the time with their assistant, Deian, to steal the technology from future to modern Japan. With Deian’s help, they collaborated with the unethical human experimentation team in Kamikawa Corporation and also gained resources and powers. They picked out Tei Aogaki as a suitable individual from the orphans, and took out his gene for experiments. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Darkline gave birth to their child, Carl Darkline. Also, the outcome of the modification experiment of Tei Aogaki’s gene, Tei Azuma, born. As the comparison group of the experiment, Tei Aogaki was trapped in the orphanage and cannot be adopted by a normal family. Mr. and Mrs. Darkline were too busy on their experiment and do not have time to take care of Carl, so Deian suggested them to let Carl stay in the orphanage to accompany Tei Aogaki, and Deian would keep an eye on the kids. After the death of the previous CEO of Kamikawa Corporation, Deian got the opportunity to introduce Carl to Arashi Kamikawa and suggested the Kamikawa family to adopt Carl. Later, Arashi found out the experiment and stopped it. He also took away the experiment products and expelled the experiment team, so Mr. and Mrs. Darkline can only ask Deian to take in charge and finish the experiment. Deian got close to Arashi through Carl, and Mr. and Mrs. Darkline made some people kidnapped Arashi. The whereabouts of Arashi were still unknown. Deian made Kamikawa Corporation keep working by the name of Arashi and kept providing resources to the scientists. Everything was under Darkline’s control, and the gears of HRP were still rotating.
Deian: A genius young man once saved by Mr. and Mrs. Darkline. He was almost died, but Mr. and Mrs. Darkline transformed him into a cyborg. Deian’s life was successfully extended, so he decieded to follow Mr. and Mrs. Darkline forever. Deian became Darkline’s assistant, traveled through the time with them, leaded them to used to the local practices, and gathered the information to support them. He was interested in people and things in modern Japan, so he collected various information. On the internet, he used the name, Shiniji Tsukumoya (The mysterious character from the original series; an information expert who cannot be found even by Izaya.), to contact Izaya. His appearance maintained the look before he got transformed. He has extraordinary memory, he needed to eat but did not need to sleep. He cared more about ties of friendship and love than Mr. and Mrs. Darkline and sometimes could not accept their way, but he would still follow the orders and made up for the victims later.
Time Traveling: After time traveling, travelers cannot return to the departure point, so it cost a lot. Though there are regulations, most people are not willing to use it. Based on some considerations, Mr. and Mrs. Darkline decided to stole the technology to modern Japan to continue the experiment because it was easier to avoid people’s attention.
Future Japan: In the future, people are almost extinct. With the progress of technology, modified androids are able to meet most people’s requirements. People lack of emotion interactions, and most of people choose to live with androids. The problem is most serious in Japan.
Human Reconstruction Project (HRP): This project’s goal is to enhance the trait of sex pheromones in human bodies and make human become hermaphrodites to increase the fertility rate.
Experiment products with the trait are called “Queen Bees.” After "Queen Bees" are sexual mature, they will have obvious estrus. Individuals who received the sex pheromones will be attracted, and this will lead to higher probability of mating. So far, the experiment products and individuals been attracted by pheromones are all males, but the project will not make the male be able to be pregnant. The trait can only be created by gene industry now, but the trait (estrus) can be activated/deactivated postnatal in the future.
The Previous CEO of Kamikawa Corporation (Arashi’s father) : A man full of sense of justice just like Arishi. He started Adonis Project to make the world a better place. After the Darklines appeared, he was convinced to change the experiment. He could accept to sacrifice some experiment products to make human better.
The Experiment Team and the Orphanage of Kamikawa Corporation: Superficially, the experiment team were working for normal medical studies, but they were actually doing unethical human experiments, and the orphanage was their source of experimental subjects.(immature children) Kamikawa Corporation did not only provide funds, but some of the scientists and nurses were also from Kamikawa Corporation. After the Darklines joined the experiment team, the orphanage was found, and the experiment team kept working on the Adonis Project. However, Deian picked a few scientists from the experiment team to join the HRP team, but most of the scientists were just following the orders and not knowing the true goal behind the project. Understanding Arashi’s personality, Arashi’s father did not tell Arashi about the experiment but died with the secret.
The Experiment Products of HRP: Number 0 was the first product of the HRP. He had the ability of Queen Bee, but he did not have female sex characteristics, so he could not be pregnant. Since he is a fail product, the scientists put him into the experiment of the Adonis Project. He was taken care by the Darklines in the lab. When the experiment was found out, only Number 0 was saved and survived.
The Unethical Human Experiment by Kamikawa Corporation: The experiment started before the HRP. This human experiment focused on enhancing the self-healing ability of human bodies. The experiment subjects have faster wound-recovery abilities than normal human.
Carl Darkline: He did not have many memories about his parents. He knew nothing about the truth about his parents and Deian. He trusted Deian very much, but Deian saw him as a pawn to complete HRP. He called himself mouse when he was in the orphanage. After he was adopted by Arashi, his new name is Akiya Kamikawa.
Arashi’s Obstruction of HRP: Izaya anonymously provided Arashi the information about the Adonis Project in Kamikawa Corporation, and it led Arashi found out the existence of HRP.
“What will the new leader with the sense of justice do when he finds out his corporation is secretly doing some inhumane experiments?”
Izaya was curious and wanted to satisfy his repulsive addiction. Arashi put all his efforts to save the children in the orphanage and the experiment subjects, but he did not find out that he is also in danger. This was also the reason why Kamikawa Corporation layoffed a lot of employees, but the society did not know the truth.
Deian’s Revenge: Deian was unhappy about his plan got messed up, so he decided to take revenge on Izaya. The appear of Akiya and Tei Azuma was also in Deian’s plan.
“If Izaya has no weak point, I will create one for him.”
The Mystic App: Created by Deian anonymously, this app has all the secrets of HRP saved. The data in the app can only be searched by key words. The information is written in a causal way, and it looks like is written by a scientist. Seems like the information is leading Izaya to complete something. When Izaya and Tei do something mentioned in the app, the app will unlock more hints or content.
Kamikawa Corporation's Inadequate Emplyoees: Since Arashi layoffed a lot of employees during the revolution, the employees in the orphanage was not enough. Tei Aogaki did not want to stay in the orphanage and take care of the children, so he left the orphanage right after he became an adult and join the gangs. In order to make up his life, Deian used the fake information of the gang to make Tei Aogaki meet Akiya, so Aogaki could finally has a home.
Deian’s Scheme on Arashi: Through Akiya’s referral, Deian used the reason of helping with the revolution to get closer with Arashi. Deian always acted like Arashi’s supporter, and Arashi never found out that Deian was the mastermind of the experiment.
Deian’s Question About HRP: After Deian lived with Arashi for a period of time, Arashi influenced Deian with the warm heart and the sense of justice. Deian started to care more for people and started to question about the rightness HRP.
Arashi’s Missing: After Deian started question about HRP, the Darklines thought Arashi is a threat. The Darklines abducted Arashi overseas, so Deian and Arashi could not meet again. However, Arashi layoffed a lot of employees and made the experiment team lose a lot of people,and the action put him in serious danger, so Deian could only followed the Darklines’ order to take place Arashi’s position of CEO. After Arashi was abducted overseas, Deian anonymously provided Arashi a job and place to live, and Deian also made sure that Arashi would not get the chance to travel back to Japan.
The Information Retrieving: In order to prevent the secret of Kamikawa Corporation been leaked, Deian sent Akiya to retrieve the information. Akiya would dress like a home cleaned and collect the evidences and information from the layoffed employees’ places. After, Deian would handle the part of memory distorting.
Deian’ Plan for Later: Since the Darklines had the goods on Deian, Deian cannot against them. Deian would tell the information to Izaya part by part and let Izaya decide what he would do.
End
The endings are the possible situations Tei and Izaya will face after living together for five years.
Previously in the timeline: Tei’s ability (Queen Bee) was overtaking his body, so he was in serious danger. Deian was the only person who can save Tei. However, Izaya’s choices which he has made earlier in the timeline will influence the success rate for Deian to save Tei.
Normal End
Deian recalls Tei and eliminates Tei’s ability (Queen Bee). Human Reconstruction Project (HRP) is suspended. Tei’s body turns back to normal, and he goes back to Izaya. A few years later, Tei grows taller, and his voice becomes deeper. Tei can communicate normally, just like others, now. Compared with the past, Tei’s appearance looks more mature, but he still looks like a high school student though he is almost thirty years old. Due to the distance, Akiya does not visit (harass) Izaya that often, but the frequency of Akiya’s phone harassment increases a lot. Izaya keeps the same. He is still the information broker travel around the world with his wheel, and of course, his assistant, Tei Azuma.
Bad End
Since Izaya’s choices and actions interfered the research of HRP, there are no method to suspend Tei’s ability (Queen Bee).
When Izaya arrived Tei’s tomb, Akiya was already there. Izaya turned the wheelchair and put the bunny toy in front of Tei’s tomb, but he did not look at the man behind him.
“Sorry, I will no longer disturb you.” Akiya dried his eyes like nothing happened, and he left this final words to Izaya.
The sky turned gray and started raining. Izaya stood in front of the tomb like a statue, and he brusted out laughing suddenly.
“Ha ha ha ha ha…….”
He frowned and smiled strangely. The rain drops slipped down on his face like tears.
“Well, I am still obsessed with humans.”
The rain covered everything. The bunny toy was wet and covered with mud water; it looks miserable now, just like Izaya.
He had so many words he wanted to say, but after a long silence, he only left one sentence.
“....I can only love humans, Tei.”
The rain made the bunny toy tilt its head, and it looked like the toy did not understand what Izaya is talking about.
Everything will turn back to normal.
The information broker from Shunjuku. He still loves human today--

True End
Deian recalls Tei and eliminates Tei’s ability (Queen Bee), but during the eliminating process, Tei loses his memories. Tei does not go back to Izaya, and Deian does not leave any clue about Tei. Also, Akiya just disappears, so Izaya is back to his lonely life.
“The mission is not over yet, and we will not leave Japan.” This is the last message Deian leaves for Izaya. Izaya does not take further action on looking for the truth, but he starts to focu on passerbys’ faces subconsciously.
Another five years later, Izaya receives an anonymous commision from a faraway city. In the city, Izaya sees the familiar and beautiful face again. The smile on that face is as warm as sunshine; Izaya never saw that kind of smile appeared on that face before. The young man’s voice and appearance are different from Izaya’s memories, and the young man does not know Izaya anymore. The only thing keeps the same is the ring on the young man’s left ring finger. "My mate left me this ring before he died. Though I can no longer remember his face and the memories about him, I still love him." After having a talk with the young man, Izaya knows the young man’s name is Hatsu Arahiro. What an ironic name.(If you read Arahiro backwards, it will be Orihara.)
It is said that a disaster happened to Hatsu and his mate, but only Hatsu survived. Hatsu now lives frugally in an old apartment alone and works in a convenience store for a living.
“For some reason, I feel that he is always with me, so I will not fall in love with anyone else. This space is always for him,” says the young man. Hatsu touches the ring on his finger with a serious face. The face is different from the youngster in the past. He looks less naive but more determined. He says, “Though I know nothing about my past, I will still live in the moment and seize the day.”
--Why am I here again?
After the anonymous commision is done. Izaya keeps visit the city and keep in touch with Hatsu by the name of Hatsu’s friend.
